Dreystone releases Font Safari 1.0.1

Dreystone Software is pleased to announce the release of Font Safari 1.0.1, available immediately for Macintosh OS X and OS 9 with a Microsoft Windows version available in the near future.

Let Font Safari be your guide as you navigate your system fonts. View your fonts in the character maps view, telescope view, and see the entire font family rendering a common or custom phrase. Includes support for multiple language keyboard shortcuts and string encodings.

Font Safari allows you to view all of the characters in the font, and also allows you to simulate the font in alternative encodings such as Mac Roman, Windows ANSI, Unicode and other common text encodings. Font Safari displays valuable information about each selected character such as the US Keyboard shortcuts, UTF8 and UTF16 codes, and the Unicode name of each character.

Features:

• View all of the characters in the selected font in a compact table.
• Live resizing so you choose the size of the characters.
• Display the Macintosh US Keyboard shortcut (MacRoman encoding)
• Display the UTF8 and UFT16 codes.
• Display the Unicode name for each character

New in this Version:

• Will no longer automatically check for updates with computers on dial-up connections unless already connected to the internet.
• Resolved a cosmetic issue with the scrollbars.
• Resolved a rare issue with thread collision which could cause the application to freeze.

Font Safari 1.0.1 is available for Macintosh (OS 9.1 through 9.2.2, and OS X 10.2 and higher). A single user license is $15.00 available to purchase through the dreystone.com website, and includes all upgrades for 18 months after the date of purchase.
